Jesus didn’t speak at all about homosexuality. There are about 12 verses in the Bible that touch on that question. Most of them are very contextual. There are thousands of verses on poverty. I don’t hear a lot of that conversation.

The Challenge
Weeks ago I decided to challenge myself in a way that I had never really thought of before. Then I came across this article http://stopextremepoverty.com/2011/07/02/extreme-poverty-western-consumerism/
Ready for the challenge? Here it is:
-use up all of hair and body products before buying any new ones (no new shampoo until the old is gone, no new body washes, etc.)
-no new clothes (only secondhand or to replace ones that have been permanently damaged)
-no new shoes (except replacing worn out running shoes or winter boots)
-no new home decor and furniture
Yes there are some exceptions, but I’d rather dictate what those are than break the rules and then give up. If even one other person is inspired by this I will feel like I’ve accomplished more. I am just one person, but even one person’s attempt to help is better than none.
